East Coast Bakehouse secures RSPO Certification

East Coast Bakehouse has been awarded RSPO certification, this is part of our core commitment to sustainability and meeting retail partner requirements.

The goal of RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) is a not-for-profit that unites stakeholders from the 7 sectors of the palm oil industry to develop and implement global standards for sustainable palm oil. The RSPO has more than 3,000 members worldwide who represent all links along the palm oil supply chain. They have committed to produce, source and/or use sustainable palm oil certified by the RSPO.

UTZ Certification for East Coast Bakehouse

As part of East Coast Bakehouse’s commitment to sustainability and meeting retail partner requirements, we are delighted to be UTZ certified for the sourcing of cocoa.

UTZ is committed to creating a better, more sustainable world. It is the largest program for coffee and cocoa and has certification schemes in other commodities including (herbal) tea, rooibos and hazelnuts. The UTZ certified label features on over 20,000 different products across 135 countries.

East Cost Bakehouse obtains BRC AA Rating

East Coast Bakehouse has obtained a BRC AA (British Retail Consortium) grade following a recent audit. The AA grade is the highest grade that can be issued and represents East Coast Bakehouses’ commitment to the implementation of best practices and process improvements relating to the production, storage and distribution of our products.
