– what you’ll need

Unsalted butter 225g

Caster Sugar 110g

Vanilla 2tsp

Flour 225g

Cornflour 110g

Salt 1/8 tsp

– what you’ll need to do

1. Cream butter, sugar and vanilla – light and fluffy

2. Sift dry and fold in

3. Knead briefly

4. Roll, cut and prick

5. Let the shortbread chill for 30minutes

6. Bake 20 mins in a preheated oven (17Oc / 150c fan) until there are golden edges

7. Invite some friends round for tea and biscuits
